Zika Virus Toolkit

As the summer travel season approaches, your groups may be asking questions about the Zika virus. The U.S. Travel Association has created a Toolkit to address Zika-related questions. The Toolkit delineates ways individuals can be protected from this virus, includes Zika talking points, and sets forth what the experts are saying.

The Center for Disease Control is constantly monitoring this situation. Amy Pope, White House Deputy Homeland Security Advisor and Deputy Assistant to the President, said, "The Administration is coordinating a whole-of-government effort to ensure that we are taking all available steps to prepare for Zika and work together with state, local, tribal and territorial officials to protect Americans."

There are currently no travel notices within the continental United States. The Center for Disease Control's latest Zika travel information can be accessed here

Ways to Protect Yourself from Zika

1. Keep mosquitoes outside.
2. Create a barrier between you and mosquitos.
3. Wear inspect repellant.
4. Protect your family.
5. Protect pregnant women.
6. Do your homework before travelling.
