An Iconic Ferris Wheel is on the Move!

In summer 2016, Chicago's Navy Pier Ferris Wheel is moving to Branson, Missouri! This landmark Ferris wheel is the newest attraction at Branson's Highway 76, at The Track Family Fun Parks. "We are excited to be the new home of this iconic Ferris wheel," said Craig Wescott, president and CEO of The Track Family Fun Parks. The move will allow a new group of students to enjoy this famous ride.

The Ferris wheel has a rich history. It was modeled after the first Ferris wheel built for the 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition. It stands 150 feet tall, and its 40 gondolas can hold 140 passengers. The Ferris wheel's 16,000 lights will illuminate Branson's evening skyline.

The exciting addition of the Ferris wheel should attract new and repeat visitors to the Branson community. "Our hope is that adding this unique attraction, which is enjoyed by people of all ages, will enhance our guests' experience during the time they spend in Branson," said Wescott. The Track Family Fun Parks four Branson locations already offer high-rise and classic go-kart tracks, laser tag, bumper cars and boats, miniature golf, batting cages, kids' rides, arcades and more. The parks do not have a gate admission fee.

The Ferris wheel's move coincides with The Track Family Fun Park's 35th anniversary.
