Tapping the Student Travel Market

Samuel Vetrak entered the student travel industry 15 years ago. He soon realized it was underdocumented, and that there was industrywide demand for data and insights. He founded market intelligence and business development company StudentMarketing in 2007, with the aim of providing the industry what it lacked.

Today, Vetrak is delighted to note that the StudentMarketing global team, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, partners with or directly helps institutions such as United Nations World Tourism Organization and destinations including Austraila, Canada and Ireland through sector assocations and consortia to individual travel organizations. 

Vetrak shared with Groups Today some of the insights he has gleaned from his company's extensive Student and Youth Travel Digest project, undertaken for the Student and Youth Travel Association (SYTA).
