Eric Peterson, President of The Air Travel Group, grew up in Menominee, a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. His family never traveled—it simply wasn't in the budget. Yet, Peterson discovered his passion for travel when he visited Orlando, Florida, with BPA his senior year of high school.

Striving for Excellence

Tim Wilson, nominated as one of the 2017 Top 10 Next Gens by Groups Today readers for making a difference in the industry, began working in the travel and tour industry during college—and has never looked back. Today, he serves as the Director of Business Development for United Bus Technology, Inc.

Broadway ... and Beyond

When Broadway Inbound brought its NYC Center Stage event to NTA Travel Exchange for the second year, the audience was delighted. The program, which began at IPW in 2012, features high-energy performances from Broadway actors, dancers and singers—with a twist.

"(Broadway Inbound Vice President) Bob Hofmann wanted to bring back New York as a destination, with Broadway as the calling card," notes Peter Waugh, Domestic Sales Manager, Broadway Inbound. Along with its partners, Broadway Inbound helped bring the city—and Broadway—to life through individual stories, told by the people who live and love New York. The connection is strong.

Making a Positive Impact

Julius Stecker, one of the 2017 Top 10 Next Gens nominated by Groups Today readers for making a difference in the industry, has worked in group travel for over 10 years. He currently serves as the Director of Group Sales and Business Development with Mayflower Tours.

The Mind Behind 'The Hahvahd Tour'

In 2006, Daniel Andrew, one of the Groups Today 2017 Top 10 Next Gens, founded Trademark Tours while a student at Harvard. In 2011, he founded City Wine Tours, bringing his knowledge of the touring industry to wine-lovers in Boston and New York. Today, his companies employ over 100 people.
