Where is Your Next Adventure?

Kaycee Sanford | Travel Specialist, Group Travel Network

Kaycee Sanford is a proud alumnus of the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. While studying Event Management in college, she accepted an internship at Group Travel Network and fell in love with the industry. After graduation in 2013, she accepted a full-time position and is working on the logistics side of Student Tourism. Kaycee enjoys planning each customized group package and attending tradeshows such as SYTA and FMEA.

While Kaycee attended the Rosen College of Hospitality, a graduation prerequisite was to have three internships. Her final and senior year internship was with Group Travel Network. "As a college student, who wouldn't want a job that was focused on travel? As a graduate, I am lucky to have a career where people ask me regularly, 'Do you ever work?' or 'Where is your next adventure?'"

The most fascinating part of the group travel industry, in Kaycee's opinion, is the people she has the pleasure of meeting—whether students and chaperones that travel with GTN, vendors in her area that she sees regularly, or her SYTA friends that have become "like those awesome camp friends you get to see but once a year."

Since starting in the industry in 2013, Kaycee has seen herself accomplish goals she never thought she'd undertake.

"Arnold Glasow said, 'One of the true tests of leadership is the ability to recognize a problem before it comes an emergency.' After each 'travel season' I have the ability to reflect on different trips I had the privilege of guiding and honing in on my ever-growing leadership skills.

"With the support of my Group Travel Network family, vendors and fellow SYTA members, I believe my favorite accomplishment is yet to come."

Kaycee Sanford is one of the 2016 Top 10 Next Gens, as nominated by Groups Today readers for making a difference in the industry with her creative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit. Click here to see the January/February magazine.
