Moriah Shtull is an accomplished marketing leader with extensive experience in cultural institutions, recognized for driving engagement and revenue. As Director of Marketing for Intrepid Museum, she directs integrated marketing for internal clients, developing strategic insights and data-driven roadmaps.
"Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, my mom brought me to the Cleveland Museum of Art for their incredible exhibitions and programming. CMA is, and always will be, free to the public," Shtull recalled. "I became drawn to the museum industry because I wanted everyone to be able to access art, history, science and technology. As a marketer, my goal is to make educational and awesome experiences more accessible."
Whether it's wrangling snake handlers, esteemed curators and everyone in between, Shtull is a skilled communicator who is focused on making educational and awesome experiences more accessible to all audiences. She's intrigued by how the relationship between cultural institutions and accessibility will develop over time.
"There are more and more barriers to entry for museums and cultural institutions, and as the tourism industry continues to evolve, it's interesting to see how organizations position themselves within the broader market," Shtull said.
In addition to welcoming thousands of visitors to Intrepid Museum each year, Shtull has a number of personal moments she's proud of.
"I feel so lucky to have had such incredible experiences throughout my career thus far—whether that's observing a Matisse print with curators in conservation or working on micro-campaigns to help New Yorkers get access to internet."
Shtull is looking forward to handling whatever the future throws at her next.
"Technology is changing rapidly and I hope to stay on top of trends and new developments to see how they can be applied to the museum industry," she said.
