NTA Names New Director of China Inbound Program

The National Tour Association (NTA) has named Lin Wang as the new director of its China Inbound Program. Wang will continue to grow the program by educating members on how to attract the international business segment, creating domestic familiarization trips and coordinating United States delegations to China.

According to NTA, China is the fastest-growing source of travel into the U.S. and ranks fifth in the number of annual visitors to the country.

Launched in 2008, NTA's China Inbound Program is the only tour operator registration program approved by the China National Tourism Administration, and comprises more than 225 companies. The program serves as a resource for U.S.-inbound travel professionals and leads in facilitating Chinese leisure group travel to the U.S.

By joining the China Inbound Program, tour companies have access to special programming—such as exclusive FAM trips and NTA business events. They are also included in the yearly Best of the USA: NTA Directory for the China Market, can attend the NTA China Market Forum, and can access best practices and resources to attract business.

A native of Hangzhou, Wang brings a firsthand knowledge of China to the program, as well as extensive expertise in tourism marketing and client relations. Before joining NTA, Wang served as an account manager for Partner Concepts Inc. He holds a master's degree in tourism administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fudan University in Shanghai.

Want to meet Wang and learn more about NTA's China Inbound Program? Wang will be available on-site in St. Louis for the upcoming NTA Travel Exchange, Feburary 26 through March 2, 2017.
