How to Get to the North Pole

All aboard the Polar Express!

Just kidding.

All aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train!

Each year, holiday elves transform the 100-year-old railcars of the Napa Valley Wine Train in Napa, California, into the Santa Train—which whisks passengers on an enchanting journey to the North Pole.

Especially perfect for families (or any groups looking for holiday cheer), the Santa Train immerses voyagers in an interactive and musical narrative: Unfinished Jolly the Bear was left behind at the train station and will not make it back to Santa's Workshop in time for Christmas Day without help. Guests join in Jolly's excursion to the North Pole as they play games and engage in sing-a-longs with a fun cast of characters.

There may not be snow in Napa Valley, but the one-and-a-half hour train ride through the picturesque landscape includes hot cocoa and freshly baked cookies, as well as other beverages and snack boxes available for purchase.

In partnership with the Ticket to Dream Foundation, the Napa Valley Wine Train is collecting unwrapped toys, books, games, movies and gift cards from riders to bring gifts to hundreds of foster children.

The expedition to the North Pole runs November 18 – December 29, 2017, and the tradition returns next year.
