Where to Eat in Fisherman's Wharf

Is Fisherman's Wharf on your San Francisco itinerary? (Who are we kidding ... Of course it is!) Tell your groups to bring their appetites along for the delicious seafood dished out at these noteworthy restaurants.

Nunzio Alioto, a Sicilian immigrant, started Alioto's as a fresh fish stall in 1898. Today, it's San Francisco's oldest family owned and operated restaurant—serving fresh seafood and Sicilian family recipes with an incredible view for over 90 years.

Bistro Boudin

The staff claims that if you've been to the Bistro, then you've truly been to San Francisco. Your groups could enjoy views of Alcatraz, Angel Island and Mari while enjoying Bistro Boudin's delicious cuisine, regional wine favorites and legendary sourdough bread.

Brick & Beam

Brick & Beam celebrates the heritage of the historic neighborhood in a stunning space of brick, wood and steel. Groups could sip Napa Valley wine in front of a cozy fireplace and enjoy delicacies from a menu crafted with carefully sourced local foods—including clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl.

Nick's Lighthouse

Locals have been hitting Nick's Lighthouse for years—since 1934, to be exact. Groups will find a tank of live lobsters at the door, and the staff is known to pepper meals with historical anecdotes that only a San Francisco insider could know. Don't miss the boiled-to-order crabs.

Old Fisherman's Grotto

Sabu Shake, Sr. founded Old Fisherman's Grotto in the 1950s. Today, Chris Shake continues in his father's footsteps by serving innovative, internationally-inspired cuisine with a hand of genuinely warm hospitality. Try the clam chowder—Chris' father had a legacy of standing outside and serving samples to those passing by.

Mingle with sea lions and take in the views at PIER 39, and then explore two levels of dining options. For upscale seafood, consider Fog Harbor Fish House and the Chart House. For something more casual, check out Chowders, Crab House, Pier Market and Wipeout Bar and Grill. Keep your group entertained at Bubba Gump Shrimp, Hard Rock Café and Players Sports Arcade & Grill. Or head to Hana Zen for authentic Japanese cuisine.
