This is Gonna Be a Good ‘Un

For regions of North America that succumb to the frozen tundra of winter, spring welcomes a series of icons: budding leaves, chirping birds, beautiful flowers and ... bluegrass. Bluegrass music, that is. Bloomin' Barbeque & Bluegrass returns May 19 – 20, 2017, to Sevierville, Tennessee, with an exciting new musical lineup featuring legendary bluegrass artist Ricky Skaggs.

Skaggs began his musical career at age 6, playing onstage with Bill Monroe and later, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. He also joined the Clinch Mountain Boys, The Country Gentlemen, J.D. Crowe's New South and many others while making guest appearances with several artists, including Bruce Hornsby and the band Phish. Today, Skaggs has a total of 14 Grammy Awards.

And you can see him and other talented artists, free!

Great food and great music, of course, is priceless. Here's the lineup of performances by artists who've mastered the lightning fast tempo of bluegrass that makes it difficult to play, yet easy to listen to:
