Gaylord National Resort will ring in the holiday season with the highly anticipated return of Christmas on the Potomac—the Washington D.C. region's largest Christmas celebration!
With more than 155,000 square feet of holiday cheer, it's the perfect place for groups of family, friends or colleagues to have a magical holiday experience together. Christmas on the Potomac features stunning holiday décor and over a dozen seasonal activities for all ages including the Gaylord Hotels' original production, I Love Christmas Movies™.
The guided walk-through experience features over 13 detailed scenes from beloved classic holiday films including The Polar Express™, Elf™, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation™, A Christmas Story™ and The Year Without A Santa Claus™. Groups will interact with the movie scenes they know and love, from plugging in the Christmas lights to illuminate the front of the Griswold's home to taking in the soft glow of the famous leg lamp in Ralphie's living room.
With over a dozen different activities, Christmas at Gaylord National has something for every member of the group. Activities include enjoying The Greatest Story live stage show, and nightly #LIT Laser Show in the resort's 19-story Atrium, taking in the view of the picturesque Potomac River while ice skating or taking a thrilling spin outside in the ice bumper cars. Gaylord National also offers ice tubing, photos with Santa and so much more.
After a day of holiday fun, groups could gather together over a few festive cocktails at Replay, the resort's 80s themed rooftop lounge or The Christmas Tree Lot pop-up bar in the lower Atrium.
