And when the purple fields of lavender bloom each year, visitors are eager once more to feel immersed in their waves of relaxation. Come along as we explore some of the country's most charming, fragrant and storied lavender farms groups are sure to enjoy visiting!
Lavender Hill Farm
Boyne City, Michigan
At Lavender Hill Farm in Michigan's northern lower peninsula, groups can explore the sights, scents, and tastes of lavender at this Certified Naturally Grown farm. The largest lavender farm in Michigan, Lavender Hill is home to 30 varieties of lavender, Italian honeybees, and a restored century old barn which plays host to live music and private events. Whether it's a guided golf cart tour out into the lavender fields, enjoying a curated picnic basket outdoors before some live music, or indulging in a four-course fine dining experience amongst the blooms, options abound.
Bloomfield Schoolhouse Lavender Farm and Apothecary
LaGrange, Indiana
Situated in the historic Bloomfield Schoolhouse—the only schoolhouse on the National Register of Historic Places operating as a lavender farm—this lavender farm and apothecary is steeped in heritage. Using locally sourced ingredients and small-batch production, Bloomfield Schoolhouse is ideal for groups looking to shop the bespoke products developed from their seven distinct lavender varieties grown across the schoolhouse grounds and offsite acreage.
Cape Cod Lavender Farm
Harwich, Massachusetts
"Enchantment" and "whimsy" are words often used to describe Cape Cod Lavender Farm by many of its 10,000 annual visitors. It's here that groups could explore the farm's idyllic grounds, from the enchanted garden, to the fields of lavender, to the many acres of groomed walking trails. Visit in June and July for peak bloom, where the farm sells its fresh picks in baskets, bunches, homemade lavender products in the gift shop and more.
Victor's Lavender Farm
Sequim, Washington
Located in a place known as the Lavender Capital of North America, Victor's Lavender Farm is a destination where decades of expert lavender knowledge come to life and over 100 varieties of lavender bloom. It's easy for groups to shop, smell and indulge at Victor's nursery—one of the largest in the U.S. Don't forget about the annual Victor's Lavender Festival, a time when Victor Gonzalez and his family welcome visitors for free lavender workshops, afternoon jazz concerts, u-cut, hand-made lavender products by Victor's wife, Maribel Ayala, expert advice for selecting and caring for your own lavender plants, and more.
