Tourism Cares for National Landmarks

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Tourism Cares offers a variety of opportunities for those involved in the travel industry to help communities that are vital to the industry, and to our national and global culture.

In 2015, Tourism Cares for Hallowed Ground (May 7 – 8) will restore sites and plant trees in Washington, D.C.. and northern Virginia, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. Registration opens in January.

Tourism Cares for the Grand Canyon (November 2 – 3) kicks off a full year of park restoration projects, in honor of the National Park Service Centennial.

In the past year, Tourism Cares has helped with improvements at Plimouth Plantation; worked with Cambodian street children in a program that provides training in the hospitality industry, particularly dining; and been involved with a range of other initiatives.
