Tourism Academy Rebrands as Learn Tourism to Reflect Expanded Mission and Impact

TourismAcademy.org, the leading nonprofit dedicated to advancing the tourism industry through innovative education, training, and professional development, has announced it has rebranded to Learn Tourism.

The change, effective November 2024, reflects the organization's commitment to continuous growth, evolving expertise, and expanded vision for a more sustainable and inclusive tourism landscape.

For years, Learn Tourism has equipped tourism professionals, destination organizations, and community stakeholders with essential skills and insights to drive sustainable economic growth. With over 30,000 students in nearly 60 destinations, the rebranding aligns with the organization's mission to serve as the premier learning hub for the tourism industry, going beyond traditional offerings to create a world where education and tourism intersect for positive impact.

WHY THE CHANGE?

The nonprofit shared that the decision to transition from TourismAcademy.org to Learn Tourism stemmed from their desire to better represent their dedication to actionable learning and a deeper connection with their students and partners. The new name signifies a hands-on, learner-centered approach where professionals can actively "Learn Tourism"—not just study it. The nonprofit also shared that the rebrand emphasizes their vision to lead the industry in educational innovation, sustainable business practices, and community-centered training.

"Tourism has the power to transform economies, communities and lives," said Stephen Ekstrom, CEO and Co-Founder of Learn Tourism. "As Learn Tourism, we're putting learning at the heart of our work, empowering tourism professionals to create lasting change in their communities with the skills and insights they gain with us."
