Smoky Mountain Getaways

Sevierville, Tennessee, Offers Year-Round Fun for Groups

Wide-open spaces and get-back-to-nature activities make the Smoky Mountains a great destination year-round—especially for groups. In Sevierville, each season is packed with something unique to see and do, from fall driving tours, to holiday lights, and even spring and summer fun in the sun.

FALL FUN IN THE MOUNTAINS

Each fall, visitors enjoy nature's brilliant display of color. A drive to popular fall color viewing spots in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is well worth taking, but plan to visit harvest-themed attractions throughout the area as well.

Kyker Farm's Corn Maze is a seasonal attraction on a Tennessee Century Farm. Spend the day browsing the pumpkin patch, working your way through one of five corn stalk mazes, or enjoying a variety of kid-friendly activities. Adventurous groups may even want to book a Zombie Blasterz paintball adventure after dark on the farm.

Only a few miles down the road, enjoy the Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin LumiNights at Dollywood.

Take in a hearty fall meal at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant—located on a working apple orchard along the river in Sevierville. Picturesque views, delicious food, and plenty of shops to browse before and after your meal make this a great stop for groups, any time of year.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND SHOPPING

Smoky Mountain Winterfest glows bright in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, from November 13, 2020, through February 22, 2021. See millions of lights along the Parkway and enjoy special attractions like Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland, November 13 through January—a massive 1.5-mile drive-through light extravaganza.

After enjoying the holiday sparkle, head to Sevierville's famous stores for gifts that will be loved by everyone on your list. Shop high-end name brands at Tanger Outlets Sevierville and discover one-of-a-kind treasures at stores like Smoky Mountain Knife Works and Robert A. Tino Gallery.

After a busy day filled with holiday fun, settle down to luxurious lodging. Sevierville offers everything from cabins that sleep over 40 people to well-appointed hotels near all the activities.

SPRING AND SUMMER GETAWAYS

Spring and summer are great times for getting back to nature with hikes, horseback rides, and outdoor adventures in Sevierville. The warmer months are also a great time to savor mountain spirits and wines. Venture out on the Rocky Top Wine Trail and sample wines at three, four, or five wineries. Then make plans for a VIP Mixology Tour at Sevier Distilling Company, which includes a tour of the distillery followed by an artisan cocktail class using spirits distilled in-house.

Summer is also a great time to explore hidden gems. Visit the Tennessee Museum of Aviation to see rare, airworthy warbird aircraft, including two Republic P-47D Thunderbolts, a Douglas A-1H Skyraider, and more.
