Milwaukee: Good Eats and Tasty Treats

Milwaukee Food & City Tours' offerings for fall and winter are sure to make travelers' mouths water.

The Historic Bar Tour is a great Saturday afternoon excursion. The three-hour bus trip visits historic pre-Prohibition bars, where visitors will learn some of Milwaukee's most colorful history. Visitors will enjoy four beers and an Old Fashioned, a traditional German pretzel, and discounts for return visits to some of the locations. This tour is also available for bachelor and bachelorette parties. For more information, click here.

November holds the opportunity for a limited-edition BBQ Tour, with stops at four local barbecues. Fish fry tours will follow in March. For more information about Milwaukee's food-themed tours, click here.

The Christmas Around Milwaukee Bakery Bus Tour features stops at bakeries throughout the area, where visitors will enjoy signature cookies, candies, and pastries at each stop, as well as stories of ethnic holiday traditions. Elf stocking hats, Santa hats, and Christmas sweaters (ugly or otherwise) are encouraged! For more information about the bakery tours, click here.

The Christmas Lights & Dessert Tour is another opportunity to celebrate the holidays in Milwaukee.
