Zika: Travel Resources

Zika outbreaks have occurred in multiple countries, and the virus continues to spread. If you're traveling to areas with Zika cases, you may have questions or concerns. Below are resources from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep you updated on the Zika virus as you travel.

1. For general information regarding Zika, see Zika Virus. The website provides a Zika overview and information on how to prevent the virus, spot symptoms, test for the virus and treat it.

2. For specific information regarding traveling, visit Travelers' Health. Find health notices, alerts and recommendations for travel based on the area you're visiting and the nature of your visit.

3. You could also sign up to receive updates directly from CDC by phone or e-mail. Sign up to receive Zika updates for your destination with CDC's new text messaging service: Text PLAN to 855.255.5606. To subscribe to e-mails online, go to Using CDC.gov.
