The Tourism Academy, which will soon be offering groundbreaking educational concepts in the travel industry through their much-anticipated launch, have announced Stephen Ekstrom as Chief Strategy Officer.
In addition to holding leadership within the tourism industry, Ekstrom has been profiled by the New York Times, lectured at leading universities, appeared on numerous TV and radio programs, and has been published by trade publications around the globe, including Groups Today.
"The Tourism Academy is confident that Stephen's years of experience as a thought leader in the travel industry will guide The Tourism Academy through their much-anticipated upcoming launch and well into the future," Jon Peahl, Marketing and Media, Tourism Academy, said in an email announcement.
According to the announcement, Ekstrom joins the Tourism Academy team as someone who is not only passionate about their work but who also has the skills, experience and clear vision for taking the organization forward. The Board of Directors say they are confident in his ability to bring Tourism Academy students, instructors, team and industry leaders together to fulfill their mission: To educate and inspire the travel trade, making it easier for tourism industry professionals to advance their careers, grow their businesses, and deliver more life-changing travel experiences.
