Initial findings of an ongoing research project regarding student and youth travel were presented at the 2015 SYTA Conference, in Branson, Missouri.
Samuel Vetrak, CEO of StudentMarketing Youth Travel Consultancy, gave an overview of the three-year project with a global scope that's become more than a research initiative. The project considered domestic student travel, as well as inbound and outbound mobility, in measurements that will provide the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA) with an identity and legacy as well as provide its members with a benchmark.
Eleven months of preparation went into the project, which has received 2,000+ responses to date and represents more than 1,000,000 students. While research is still in progress and the information presented at SYTA Conference has not yet been distributed to the public, here are some highlights.
