Like many, Fly My Group was geared up for a busy travel season before having to slam on the breaks, pivot and shift gears in response to COVID-19.
"This global pandemic has resulted in mass flight cancellations and constantly evolving carrier policies," said Roy Peterson, president of Fly My Group, noting they're currently booking airfare through March 2021.
"The Fly My Group team continues to work hard to keep you informed while servicing your group needs, whether that is rebooking, canceling, or providing quotes and estimates for future air travel."
In many cases, when groups are canceling, cash refunds are not being offered or made available, with airlines providing vouchers or future travel credits that can be used by the group or the individual traveler. In response, Fly My Group has received overwhelming feedback that assisting each traveler with their credit is a daunting task.
"During this very difficult time, we have listened to the mounting concern and have worked around the clock to develop, build, and roll out a customized individual voucher booking system," said Peterson. "This tool will give your individual travelers the ability to book a new flight utilizing their travel credit at any time."
Peterson shared instructions for how to get started using the individual voucher booking system:
Groups planning to reschedule their trips can continue to work directly with the Fly My Group team to rebook contracts.
"This is a challenging time for all of us, but we want to assure you and your team at Fly My Group, that we are here for you," said Peterson.
"The travel industry is resilient and we will get through this unprecedented time, together. We hope that you and your loved ones stay healthy and safe."
