On this the centennial of the Titanic's voyage and demise, the first-ever museum exhibit of movie memorabilia will open in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Visitors to the Titanic Museum Attraction will board the three-deck ship replica surrounded by 400 artifacts from the ship, touch an iceberg and try to balance on a sloping deck.

The museum opened this month, and exhibits will be on display through the end of December 2012.

Hollywood's version of Titanic has paid much tribute to the RMS Titanic whose maiden voyage set out in 1912. The release of the 3D movie version on April 6 will supplement the Titanic Museum Attraction which houses costumes, props and behind the scenes videos and photos of the Titanic's big screen journey.

Among the items on display will be the $250,000 heart of the ocean replica and the full-length pink coat worn by Kate Winslet during the movie's sinking scenes.

Groups of "passengers" can explore the replica ship decks, hallways, parlors, cabins and the Grand Staircase inside the Titanic Museum Attraction. Purchase tickets for groups ahead of time to ensure admission. Call 800-381-7670 or go online.
