The Four Agreements

Written by Erika Fifelski

Many of us have read all sorts of books on "how to sell" or "selling better." I am a big fan of Dan Kennedy and Brian Tracy. I recently read a great book that has nothing to do with sales titled The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz. It is more of a philosophical book about personal happiness. As always, I relate what I read to what I do, which is sales (one of the things I do). The four agreements apply very nicely to the mind of a salesperson. In fact they are the rules you have heard one way or another during your career, but maybe never layered on top of one another.

Motorcoach safety is a key issue in the House and Senate Conference Committee on transportation reauthorization, according to Congressman Bill Shuster in comments he made to the American Bus Association (ABA) Board of Directors.

ABA's board received an update on pending Congressional bus safety legislation and Shuster presented his ideas on the transportation reauthorization bill during the Spring Board of Directors two-day meeting in Washington D.C.

Groups Discover the Adventure of Ziplining

Written by Erika Fifelski

Over the years, adventure has crept into group travel itineraries. Most of the time, the buzzword was "soft adventure." Seniors saw the crazy activities in which youngsters engaged, and they avoided anything labeled adventure. That has changed.

Increased Parking Favors Motorcoaches

Written by Erika Fifelski

Motorcoach drivers and riders will find more bus-friendly parking in Washington, D.C. this summer. Since the fall of 2011, the region's District Department of Transportation has been working to put the Motorcoach Action Plan into effect.

More than two hundred travel trade volunteers banded together last week to complete necessary upkeep at the historic Pensacola Lighthouse and Bayou Texar. The work completed by volunteers is equivalent to an estimated $25,000 in labor costs.

Tauck, the Norwalk-based leader in premium quality guided land journeys and cruises, has placed second in the Hartford Business Journal’s annual rankings of the best places to work in Connecticut.
